Such cuties

I finally got the joy of taking pictures for a friend of mine. We have been trying to get these taken for almost 4 months now. She wanted some pictures similar to ones she had taken of her little girl when she was 3 months old. Even though D is 6 months now, we were able to capture most of what she wanted. It was a lot of fun. Of course D decided to play with his schedule that day so we had about 15-20 minutes of photo time! :) It was fun. He is such a cutie and a joy. I hope you like them Bonnie, there are more that I am keeping a surprise!
I just love the look he gives. It is so deep and meaningful.
Isn't he so cute! I just can not get over him.

Poor D is getting some teeth or they are deciding whether to come or not, because all he wanted was to put everything in his mouth! I just love the mischievous look he is giving me.
Finally we let up on him and he got to have a bottle and go to sleep. It was the perfect time to get great shots of his hands and feet though! I love his content look in the background of this. He is taking his bottle and slowly drifting off to sleep, so peaceful.

I just love baby feet

Of course, once little brother went to sleep M had to get in on the action. She is adorable! Her independent spirit just shines right through. She knew what pictures she wanted and what she did not want, and you could not convince her otherwise! I love a girl who knows what she wants!

One of M's favorite things is to play in the water. This is just so simple and hopefully reminds her mom what she is like at this stage in life.

The fleeting footprints....

She was not really sure she wanted more pictures at this point. I love how expressive she is though. Those eyes and lips....she is just a beauty.
Thank you Bonnie for having me over to take these pictures. I hope you enjoy them. It was fun to take the kids' pictures. There are more to come!

Beautiful, beautiful Rome....Georgia that is!

I had a great opportunity to head out to the South for a wedding on Hubby's side of the family. I had not been in the South for years, since my parents lived in Tenn. for a short time. I forgot how beautiful it was. I have never been to the northwestern part of Georgia. Spring is just starting to fill the trees with new buds and the Dogwood Trees were blooming with amazing flowers. I enjoyed capturing some of the images we saw. I can not wait to go back for another visit.
This was a beautiful old mill which is right by Hubby's Aunt's old home. The church is right behind this and the bride had her pictures taken in front of it. I can imagine how they looked.

This church is right on the edge of Downtown Rome. We had to stop to get some pictures. The history is just amazing there.

These flowers captivated me the entire trip. I just love how fresh they look.

The Dogwood Tree in front of this church is just perfect.

I know it is a little strange to take pictures of a cemetery, but this is one of the most interesting I have seen in this country. It is built with retaining walls on this fairly large hill. We found a gravestone dating back to 1783.

So serene...

This is a gravestone of an Unknown soldier from WWI. The large tree next to it has grown completely around this headstone. I have never seen anything like it. These are not small headstones and this sure was not a small tree. It just shows how long these have been there. It was a sight to see.

It was such an amazing trip. I loved the sights, sounds and family. There is something special about the South

Growing boys

I adore taking pictures of these boys! My friend has done me the honor of having me take her "little" boys pictures every 3 months. I could not believe when she said it was time to do his 9 month shots already. He is such a happy kid. I also love that this friend is up for any place and really anything! It was a great afternoon. These are just a handful of my favorites. There are quite a few more. Little B is a very expressive kid and each one of the faces is equally as cute! Hope you like them Heather. I can't wait to get you the disk!
Doesn't he just melt your heart
I love how both of them are looking at their mom (who was standing beside me with a quacking duck to get their attention!) with such amusement and love.

Handsome man! This adventurous one is hard to get to sit still for a picture, but when he does...it is worth it.
B has been standing while holding onto things for just a little while now. I love the smile he has here, it just says how proud of himself he is!
We did not realize when we put him on the grass that it was fairly wet. He kept making funny faces and did not want to be happy. Then we realized why! Silly ladies we were. He was much happier when we put a little rug under him. But, I do love the unhappy look on his face!

It is a lot of fun to splash water at a lady with a camera!
I just loved the background on this one so I decided to play with color and black and white a little bit. It just looks perfect this way, I think so anyway!

I just adore this kid! He is such a sweet, adventurous spirit.

I think that Heather got a bigger kick out of the fact that I was standing on two little stones in water than the fact that A was smiling and loving it!

Happy 9 months B. I have loved taking pictures of you for these last few months and can not believe the next ones will be when you are one. You are such a happy, loving, gentle child. You bring so much joy and balance to your family. Thanks again Heather for sharing your boys with me. It is always so much fun. Hope you like these and I will get you the disk when I get back!
