A family and a car...

I had the fun opportunity this week to do a unique session with a great family. My friend Heather has had this car since she was almost 16. There are so many fond memories for her attached to this vehicle. They decided to sell it and wanted to have something tangible to remember it by. So...off we went! It was a fun and different challenge, especially on an extremely windy day!
Heather, I hope you like these. There are plenty more, I just wanted to put up some of my favorites.
We tried to get the car to places which meant something to both Heather and Jeff. ASU and the car brought them together, so it is fitting to capture the memories there!

This little man has been blessing me with his smiles for almost 4 years now. He was in his cheesy smile mood...but it works! I love how it looks like he is rockin' out to some music here.

This little guy was having so much fun "driving" the car and waving to me. So much fun!
Another special location, and the bribe of hiking when the pictures were done!

Love the fact that I got these two still for a minute for this one. Plus...they are holding hands totally un-prompted!
How sweet that you can see them in the reflection of the car. This car is so special to them...

We tried to recapture a wedding shot moment. They have a very similar picture of them sitting in this car on their wedding day. A few years later and 2 kids, but still smiling and in love :)

I am not a huge car person, but this car is just a beauty to look at and photograph.

I have the greatest time with this family every time we get together. I do hope we got what you wanted, it was so much fun. I know this piece of your history will be missed, but it is going to such a great place! Enjoy these :)

Two boys and lots of smiles...

I had the pleasure of spending some time with this beautiful family this past weekend. This is a sweet friend of mine which made the experience even more fun. We played with the timing and the foliage to make this a great experience for the randomly napping infant and the allergy stricken family members! :)
I just kept adding my favorites to this post because there are so many images I just love from this session. Beth, I hope we got what you were imagining! There are more to come...but I have to keep some a surprise! Enjoy!

There is something so sweet and special about a mother with her two boys...

This little man does not like to smile for a camera. I kid you not, he would smile up a storm...until he saw my camera. I can be tricky though so we did get a few :)

It has been amazing to watch this little man grow up. I have known him since he was about 6 months old and he is now almost 4. What a sweet and special kid

Thank you for allowing me into this precious family time. It was a lot of fun. Hope you like these!

My Bubba....

For some reason since this little man was born, I have nicknamed him Bubba. It fit him and it just stuck! We have been spending more time this year with just the two of us and will become even more time next year. Even though there is so much to get done while his sister is in school, we have been trying to get out and just have fun. We did that last week at a great Preserve. I remembered to grab my camera to capture who this little man is right now...

There is something about him walking away that melts my heart. His sister would run away without thinking. He is more methodical and cautious. He likes to make sure we are still behind him and looking out for him. Just so sweet!

These are such fun shapes to play with. He ran around to each of the triangles and had to poke his head through to say hi. Plus, this one has his mischievous eye look and grin....trouble is coming our way! :)

Like I said, my cautious man. He would get to this point on this wall and then get scared. As long as I held his hand, he was fine. I had to capture his scared look. He would pull his hands in real tight and look at me for help. Of course as soon as I took this picture I went over and held his hand as long as he let me!

My sweet boy is growing up. I am enjoying these special times with him, just like I did with his sister before he was born. What a wonderful day...

3 Generations of Family...

I had the pleasure of meeting this family for the first time this weekend. We met at the Preserve while it was still a little bit chilly! The kids were so much fun! It seemed as if I was just playing in the park with my own kids while taking some pictures. It was a relaxed time and I hope everyone else had a great time as well! I am glad we were able to schedule this with work schedules and travel plans.
There are a lot more images, but these were some that grabbed my attention.

This last image is one of my absolute favorites. Not only is it a mother with her daughters, but I adore how C's hair seems to be glowing. I just love it.

This family was just so much fun to shoot. I loved spending the morning capturing who they are. I hope the images are what you all wanted! Thank you so much, I can't wait for you to see the rest of your images!

A duck filled session...

Ducks are the best way to describe this session. I know...ducks? Yes, ducks. These three kids were LOVING the ducks at the park. As long as we were close to the ducks, we were good to go. I had fun chasing the kids around and acting goofy to get smiles, but I think the parents got a little exhausted! But...we did end up getting some great shots of the kids and the family. Julie, I know you were a little worried about what we actually got. I have had fun taking pictures of this family the past few years, and this really was no exception. Her daughter and mine have grown up together. It is so much fun to be able to capture these families year after year. Thank you for once again giving me the opportunity. I hope you like them. I have more favorites, but I was trying to limit the number I put up on here! Enjoy :)
Sweet Cameron was not happy having his picture taken this particular morning. He was good by himself, but not with anyone else. He was really into the ducks!
There is something so sweet about this one to me. It is almost like he is looking back to insure someone is there while he is venturing out on his own. Deep thoughts for an image, but it just speaks to me.

Sweet Carter was so amazing during the session. He was my buddy and just went with the flow while we went on our adventures!

Somehow these two were still smiling after stressing about the pictures, the black pants, and where the ducks were!
Again, something so sweet about the way her brothers are looking at her in this one.

Happy kids!
A happy family, with ducks of course in the water behind them! :)

Julie and Roman, I hope you like the images we got. It was fun chasing the kids around the park and getting these shots. There are more great ones too! Just wanted to keep some a surprise :)

A magical family...

I had an amazing session with this wonderful family this weekend. I have known them for 4 1/2 years now. Our children adore playing with each other and I just enjoy their company. This year, like last year, I had the pleasure of adding her parents to the family pictures. It was a gorgeous day and we were able to finish before it started getting warm. This family has been through more than I can imagine in the past year and it was a gift for me to be able to do this session for them this year. There is so much love, caring and respect between all these family members. I really had a wonderful time!
Miss C and I had fun together taking pictures. She is such a sweet little lady. It always seems like playtime instead of work taking her pictures...
This place is a special one for her parents. It was nice to get different shots than last year in the same location. Poor little Miss L was not having fun that day. Luckily I had some tricks in my camera bag that not only worked to make her smile...but the rest of the family as well!

3 generations of truly amazing women...

What a beautiful family...

These were the first shots where Miss L was happy. She just wanted to do her own thing this morning and we just went with it. Luckily, she wanted to be near the rock and her sister...for a few seconds anyway! They are such sweet girls
The sweet relationship between a daughter and her daddy!

love, love, love the sweet moments of motherhood!

Adorable Little Miss L!

Her amazing parents. I was happy to be able to do this session with them as well. It is so sweet to capture generations of families.
I hope you all like the pictures. I have many more, these were a few of my favorites. I truly had a wonderful morning with you all. Hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving, there is so much to be thankful. Enjoy!
