A little girl growing up...

I have absolutely loved capturing this little girl in her first year in this world. We started her photo sessions when she was one week old. She fit in a Christmas stocking! She is now an active 9 month old with a precious personality. We had so much fun during the session. No doubt about it, she kept her parents and myself on the move! But, it was completely worth it. We got some great images of her and the family. L Family, hope you like these! As always, there are more where these came from :)

Isn't she the most precious thing! The flowers were such a great idea, she loved them!

This really is such a sweet family. It is amazing that I met this little guy when he was younger than his sister.

Since little K got to go to the beach for the first time this summer, these props were perfect. It was so cute since she kept trying to put stuff in the bucket. Then she would look in the bucket and wonder why it was empty. These kinds of moments don't last for long as kids grow up.

The fun activity for the day was to blow raspberries with her tongue. It got her attention and made her laugh....then she would do it. She was not wanting to stay still to pose with anyone, so we had to work these pictures! Thanks K and C for your help!

This little guy is now in Kindergarten. He was so good and patient with all the attention his sister was getting. He was even patient when she kept crawling over to try to take his puzzle pieces! Gotta love how much he loves his sister.

Thank you L Family for having me in your home to capture your family. It was fun. I can't wait to get you the rest of your images. Enjoy these for now!

One of my favorite families...

I know I should not have "favorite" families when I take pictures. But...this is one of my favorite families! :) I have been taking their pictures since we first met, when their older son turned one year old. We barely knew each other. Now, she and I have become close friends and our children are dear friends. I could not believe it was time to take little man's three year pictures!

This was one of our more fun sessions. Even though it was the first week of Kindergarten and big man had karate right after school, we got some great shots. The weather cooperated and it was not too hot and there was a breeze.

C Family, I hope you like them! As always, it was super fun :)

They are always my guinea pigs when I want to try someplace new. I bring up the idea and they go with it! I love that :) The boys got a big kick out of these windows with no glass and no building. There were lots of stories being told about where the building went...
This little guy just melts my heart. He and my son are friends and play so nicely together. It has been a pleasure to see him grow from a little peanut to the kid he is today!

I got emotional this week as this guy went to Kindergarten. I can not believe how grown up he has become. It is always an adventure with him :)

The boys in this family are very serious....

can't you tell!

A photo session with these guys would not be complete with doing something crazy! This was the theme of little man's third birthday party....so we had to capture it!

Thanks as always for a great time. It is so much fun to chase the boys around and capture who they are right now. Enjoy....there are plenty more :)

A sweet six week old...

I had the opportunity to meet the wonderful M Family this past Saturday morning. We met early in the morning, since their little man is a morning person! It was so nice to meet them and capture their little man when he is so little. At 6 weeks, we were able to get some with his eyes open and some with him sleeping. Pretty much the perfect combination! He was a trooper for a hot and sort of humid morning.

M Family, I hope you enjoy these. I have quite a few more favorites....I am just keeping some a surprise! It was so nice to spend time with you and your little man.

J brought 2 different special handmade blankets to have in the pictures. I love having these little personal items in pictures. It is so easy to forget how little our little ones are, so having these items in the pictures helps us as they get big!
This is such a sweet family! They mentioned how much they loved the yawning of little G, so I had to include this one!

Sweetness of mother and son...

Such a precious little guy!

The boys...

M Family, thank you for letting me capture some of the moments in your little man's life. They grow so quickly and are just so precious. I can not wait to finish with the pictures and get them to you. Plenty more! Enjoy these...

Awaiting a sweet arrival...

I had the utmost joy this past weekend to take some maternity pictures and family pictures of a friend of mine. Our kids are in playgroup together and are about the same age. We met at her mom's house to take a time out to capture this moment in life. She and I are a little bit the same, where we don't really stop too much! This sweet new baby of theirs will be arriving in the next two weeks, so we were able to just squeeze this in :) I can not wait to meet the bundle of joy and find out if the little one is a boy or girl!

Thank you M for asking me to capture these moments. I had so much fun with you guys. There are a ton more images, but these are just some of my favorites!

I love how relaxed this one looks. What is funny is that the picture previous to this, her daughter is trying to push past her and climb these stairs....gotta love a 3 year old!
Sweet and innocent...I LOVE capturing the moments between parents and their kids. They truly are this little only once.

We were losing little M at this point. I asked her "How many more pictures do you want to take before going inside" Of course she said "One". Well...this was that one. It is one of my favorites from the day.

I fell in love with the house we took pictures at! It was absolutely gorgeous. This window was in the kitchen with the most perfect light. I love it when what is in my head transfers to my camera the way I see it.
Again, the sweetness between a parent and child.

This little girl is so sweet. She is so grown up for her age. I love hearing the things she says, asks about and discussions she has. It is like talking to a much older child. She has the sweetest heart. It will be fun to see her as a big sister.

How sweet is this picture!? That is really all I can say about this one...

Thank you B Family for spending the morning with me. It was so much fun to run around the yard and capture these moments. There are plenty more pictures I can keeping for a surprise! I can't wait to meet your new little one :)

A growing girl...

I had the joy this weekend to see how much this little beauty has grown. I could not believe it was already time for her 6 month photo shoot! I am loving the fact that I get to help capture her first year. The weather held out beautifully for us. It was a little warm, but a little breeze and it was nice in the shade. Had we tried to do this later in the day, it would have been too windy. I love it when the weather works with me!

It was such a fun time. This precious little girl is so full of smiles, it makes my job pretty darn easy! Here is a little sneak preview. As always, i am keeping some of my favorites to myself :)

Look at those blue eyes!
These two are quite the pair. He has been a protective big brother since she was born. It is really sweet to see how they react to each other, especially as she grows up!

Like I said, this little girl is so full of smiles I couldn't stop taking pictures!

She is in the stage of everything in the mouth, there was no way to fight it. At least K & C can look back and remember what their daughter was like at 6 months!

Can't forget one of the mom and dad!

As always, K & C it was such a pleasure capturing your family. I can not believe how fast time is going! Before we know it, we will be doing her 9 month and 1 year pictures! I hope you enjoy these, there are plenty more :)

A sweet baby boy....

I had the great joy of heading over to our friends house on Friday to hang out with this little guy and his momma. I can not describe how much I love sessions like this. These friends mean so much to us (the last pregnancy session I did was these guys). Just being able to see him grow up will be a joy! :)

He was unsure of being the center of attention! He would fall asleep and be calm for a few minutes while I took pictures....then he would realize he didn't like it anymore. Even with that, we got some great pictures of him.
I LOVE pictures like this. I know with my kids, these are the ones I look back upon and see how much they have grown. One day she can look at her rings and his foot and be able to remember so clearly. It is SO easy to forget how little they are.

How could you not want to just hug, squeeze and love this little man!

Out of all the pictures I took, this is the only one with his eyes open. Gotta love a 3 1/2 week old.....seriously so much fun!

Love, love, love....

We of course forgot until we had him nice and settled in a position that there was another shirt to wear. Luckily, he was fairly cooperative. This is from his great-grandmother.

I had so much fun just spending time with this little guy and his momma. They bless me with friendship and the least I could do was head over for a little bit and get some pictures. He is going to have to get used to my camera, that is for sure! :)

P & N, I hope you like these. It was so much fun. I can not wait to watch him grow up!

A sweet baby bump...

I LOVE taking maternity pictures....they are probably my favorite pictures to take. There is something about impending motherhood that captures my heart. This beautiful couple is no exception to that feeling. I was SO happy when I got the chance to spend some time with these dear friends of mine. It is always fun to hang out with them. I have known him for over 11 years (yikes) now. He is the godfather to our son, was in our wedding, and is a part of our family. Even though I have not known her for as long, she means just as much to me. I am loving the chance to get to know her and hang out. I can not wait to meet their son.

Thanks for letting me capture this moment in time for you. Before you know it, you will be holding your little man in your arms and starting the crazy adventure of parenthood! Hope you enjoy these few favorites of mine. There are a ton more I love, but have to keep some a surprise!

I know it will be a great shoot when the very first shot I take turns out great.

The thing I love about this one is the fact that I have a picture from our wedding with him having the same look on his face. There is also something about the way he is supporting her with his knee. I know I take a deeper meaning sometimes, but isn't parenthood about support? Supporting each other...supporting the child...teaching your child to support others?

I truly can not thank you guys enough for having me be a part of this afternoon. It was so nice to share in a little bit of this adventure with you. You are a part of my family....we can not wait to meet little man! :)
